Hi everyone! 👋
I’m currently working on Project 2 (Reflections) for my Level 3 photography course. It’s an audio-visual project that combines photography and sound to explore the theme of reflections. These reflections can be both metaphorical—like looking back on past experiences, or literal, such as capturing images in mirrors or windows.
By the end of the project, all the photos and sounds will come together in a final production.
For my project, I’ve decided to focus on mental health and its effects, using my sister as the model. My series is split into two distinct parts, each telling a different side of the story:
Part 1 (This Post):
This section captures the sad, upset, and depressed side of mental health, focusing on how isolation, being trapped behind screens, and disconnected from the world can take a toll on us. These shots were taken indoors, using mirrors and direct shots to emphasise the feeling of being “trapped.” [Pictures Below].
Part 2 (Coming Soon):
This will shift the mood to happy, joyful, and free, celebrating how spending time in nature and stepping outside can uplift us. These will be coming in the next couple of weeks.
Let me know what you think and what I could have done different in the comments! 💬
